Contemporary Garden Makeover in Hamilton

When the homeowners at Hamilton Heights wanted to completely transform their outdoor space, they turned to Southside Landscaping to create a garden that was both practical and perfect for entertaining. Having already completed three successful projects within the same estate, we were delighted to return once again and deliver another full garden makeover.

The existing garden presented a significant challenge, with large quantities of heavy soil and clay creating poor levels and limiting the potential of the space. Our goal was to create a clean, contemporary garden that offered low maintenance, improved functionality and an attractive outdoor environment the whole family could enjoy throughout the year.

Creating the perfect foundation was the first priority. We excavated approximately 90 tonnes of soil and clay before importing 28 tonnes of Type 1 aggregate to establish a strong, stable base for the entire garden.

To accommodate the changes in ground levels, we installed a robust sleeper perimeter that not only provided structural support but also introduced attractive landscaping features, including a bespoke sleeper seating area that adds both character and functionality.

A spacious composite decking area was constructed to create the ideal space for outdoor dining and entertaining, while a generous installation of premium 38mm artificial grass delivers the appearance of a perfectly maintained lawn without the ongoing maintenance.
The finishing touches came from decorative Black Ice stones around the borders, adding contrast, definition and a premium finish that perfectly complements the modern design.

The result is a stunning, low-maintenance garden that makes the most of every inch of outdoor space while providing the homeowners with a beautiful area to relax, entertain and enjoy for years to come.
